Mutiny bikes randy taylor9/9/2023 Nowadays nearly ALL big main stream brands offer a 21.8 and maybe we had something to do with it and maybe we didn’t who knows, but I am proud of what we made! When we told people and distros about the design people laughed and were hesitant but Gaz really fuckin believed in me and my ideas and had faith in that it would work. Other than race bikes or a company that came out with a 22 inch TT that idea was very much in the dark in the mainstream riding. I believe we changed the way people saw and felt about longer top tubes and the overall idea of a bigger frame. Some time later we came up with a geometry for a big rig for tall people that want to roast and the Deathgrip 21.8 was born! I had my very own signature frame at that time. It was all surreal! Officially after some time and a few videos later I was on the Pro team, just like I said I’d be as a little kid! We’d bounce ideas back n forth to one another, laugh and talk shit. Gaz and I would phone call and email back and forth and we really have created a special friendship. I couldn’t believe I was presented with the opportunity to be a part of fucking Mutiny! Ya know? Robbo, Roey and those guys were people that I have and still look up to! I couldn’t believe it! and just like that the journey began. Making videos and having a laugh and one thing led to another… Big shout out to Paul at Strictly for being the bridge between Gaz (Mutiny) and I and making a lot of shit happen! It’s always been my brother Tama and close mates just doing it our way. My friends, music, fashion, lifestyle choices and the culture of it all, traveling around having fun. ![]() It has been my outlet and my escape in tough times. My whole entire life has revolved around it. I remember my grandmother asking me: â€Dylan, what do you want to be when you grow up?†I replied straight away saying ‘I’m GOING to be a professional BMX rider!†I shit you not, and that’s what I aspired to be. ![]() As corny as it sounds I really did fall in love with BMX that young. I started as a kid 6 years old riding bikes my older brother and I would make our own jumps in the lane with plywood and old car tires stacked up. Its hard to put into words how grateful I am to have shared these experiences with everyone at Mutiny Bikes over the last years! Now Look, I’m not the best at punctuation and all that stuff, but I’ll give it a try, Haha!
